The Resting Temple

This assignement was also done in 2 weeks in April 2020, during which we had create a matte painting based on a written extract free of choice, with the medium also free of choice. The extract I chose is from a japanese tale, and introduces a temple built deep in the forest on top of a hill, dominating over the sea, and behind it lies a cemetery of stones wearing the names of each noble killed, man or woman, and of each samuraï. The temple I modeled is inspired from the existing Zojoji Temple.
